The new KSOG-4К gas odorization complex design is now at the stage of designing, components elaboration and testing. The principal distinguishing feature of KSOG-3К is its main dosing element.

 

The principal distinguishing feature of KSOG-3К is its main dosing element. In the KSOG-3К complex, dosing is performed using a dosing valve, whereas in the KSOG-4К complex dosing is performed using a dosing pump.

At the same time, odorant feeding is performed at the upper point of the working reservoir which makes it possible, in situations connected with failure of the dosing system, other emergency situations, to prevent from unauthorized odorant feeding into the gas pipeline.

The KSOG-4К gas odorization complex is designed for dosed odorant feeding into the natural gas flow supplied to consumers with the view of imparting an odor for timely detection of leaks.

Regulation of the degree of gas odorization is performed by a dosing pipe depending on the gas volume passing through the pipeline.

  • read-out of information on current gas flow from the computer via the RS-232/485 interface;
  • automated regulation of odorant dozing in proportion to current gas flow at the site (automatic mode);
  • accumulation of data on odorant consumption in the internal archive in the nonvolatile memory;
  • control of dosage by the most recent gas flow data in case of cutoff of the information connection with the flowmeter at the facility recording unit or its failure and switching to preset flow values (setting) upon expiry of the specified time period;
  • continuous dosing control due to feedback using the flow transmitter;
  • visual control of the odorant level in the supply reservoir;
  • visual control of dosing in automatic and manual modes;
  • visual acknowledgement of dosing by indicator light during the time of feeding of the dose;
  • delivery to the external attention devices of a signal in case of failure of the dosing pump or the flow transmitter, power supply failure etc.
