British company Spacebit, founded and managed by Ukrainian Pavlo Tanasyuk, plans to set up a space flight control center in Ukraine.

He told this in an exclusive interview with Radio Svoboda.

“We want to create one of the best flight control centers in Europe in Ukraine, which will be used not only for our lunar rover, not only for the Ukrainian-British mission, but also for other launches. That is, we want to make it practically open to various companies,” Pavlo Tanasyuk shared his plans.

Spacebit is currently preparing, among other things, for a joint Ukrainian-British mission to the moon. It is planned that Ukrainian-made equipment will study soils, temperature and radiation levels on the Earth’s satellite surface.

The head of Spacebit added that he believes in the future of Ukrainian space and intends to continue to involve Ukrainian specialists in work on future missions. Spacebit also wants to contribute to Ukrainian education: the company plans to share scientific information with the Ministry of Education, as well as some educational institutions, free of charge.

Gas transmission system operators in Ukraine, Slovakia, the Czech Republic and Germany signed an agreement on the creation of a Hydrogen Stream. This was reported by the press service of Operator of  GTS of Ukraine.

“The joint initiative “Central Hydrogen Corridor ”is aimed at creating a hydrogen “highway” in Central Europe for transporting hydrogen from promising regions of hydrogen supply in Ukraine, which has good conditions for the production of green hydrogen, through Slovakia and the Czech Republic to areas of high demand in the EU.

The hydrogen corridor will also allow transporting hydrogen from production facilities to hydrogen consumers in the Czech Republic and Slovakia”, – the statement says.

It is noted that Slovakia and the Czech Republic operate a large gas pipeline corridor connecting Ukraine with the hydrogen demand zones in Europe. The gas transmission systems of these countries and Germany can be redesigned to transport hydrogen.

Germany is also expected to become a key hydrogen demand region in Europe, importing significant volumes to meet its needs.

It is also reported that the hydrogen corridor can be created by repurposing the existing gas infrastructure in combination with targeted investments into new specialized hydrogen pipelines and compressor stations. This will ensure the transportation of hydrogen over long distances at an affordable price.

The organizers of the project have already begun to study the feasibility of the technical implementation of the creation of the Central European Hydrogen Corridor for the transportation of pure hydrogen in the amount of up to 120 GWh. per day.

NASA’s Perseverance rover has taken soil samples for the first time on the Red Planet.

The rocket with the Perseverance rover was launched  in July 2020 from the spaceport at Cape Canaveral in Florida. In February, the rover landed in the crater of Ezer, the purpose of the mission is to find traces of life.

The soil sample is not damaged and is in the reservoir after being removed.

It is noted that a system for collecting and storing soil samples has been installed at Perseverance, which uses the technology of rotary percussion drilling. The rover drills through the sample and pulls material from it, which then enters the reservoir.
