The Swiss company will diagnose Ukraine’s gas pipelines

The GTS Operator of Ukraine has concluded an agreement on the diagnostics of the country’s main gas pipelines with the Swiss company ROSEN Europe B.V.
“The agreement provides for the inspection of more than 4,5 thousand km of main gas pipelines with a diameter of 1,400 mm with a deadline of the end of 2024. The total cost of the operation is EUR6.44 million,” the statement said.It is noted that the in-tube diagnostics using the ROSEN intelligent piston will allow diagnosing the condition of the metal and welded joints of the main gas pipelines.
“Timely detection and elimination of defects reduces the risk of accidents, increasing the reliability of the gas transmission system. The last in-tube diagnosis was performed by the previous GTS Operator in 2009,” the company explained.

 

 

Naftogaz plans to invest billions in production

In the next five years, Naftogaz plans to invest $ 7,3 billion in hydrocarbon production, said Otto Waterlander, the group’s chief executive officer, at a presentation of NJSC’s business strategy.
